Our language services currently focus on the St. Paul/Minneapolis area in Minnesota (see below). Other venues across the US will certainly be considered, although there would be cost implications that would have to be agreed beforehand. We are also beginning to offer German by web-conferencing (no need for downloads).
For instance: A full course of 22 hrs. could be taught over two weekends at a location arranged by your group, say, in the southern US. The cost for my two trips to your location somewhere in the US would be a flat $1,700.00. In a group of five students, this would add about $340 to each student's fee of $380 (thus bringing the overall fee per student to $720 per course, plus text books). You could still complete both required courses for Ph.D. admission (BeginnersаGerman and Theological German) incl. text books for approx. $1,500.00.
A typical course in the Twin Cities area involves 22 hrs. of contact time and between six and twelve students. A student preparing for Ph.D. studies will normally complete at least two courses (Beginners German and Theological German) to be able to satisfy typical university entry requirements for PhD studies. At the end, a certificate of completion (or a personal reference) is issued on request. Total cost incl. text books ('used') for both courses is around $750. On request, an additional/optional Conversational course can be offered for $250 (incl. materials), bringing the total for all three courses to approx. $1000.
